Customer Service And Warranty

CraftMaster Homes is proud to offer a comprehensive Customer Service and Warranty program which not only provides our homewoners with the typical one year list and follow-up, but also an interim visit by a CraftMaster Customer Service representative approximately 60 days after closing.
 
60 Day List
The first few months in your new home are important, and we know that you will be showing if off to family and friends. We want you to be proud of your new home, so we have developed an opportunity for you to submit certain “spruce up” items approximately 60 days after closing. Following is a list of items that will be corrected if listed on your 60 Day List:

• Doors adjusted (sticking or inoperable) – interior and exterior
• Drywall repairs such as nail pops, bubbling seams, etc. (repairs of scratches, dents, gouges or holes will not be performed since these items should have been reported on the Pre-Settlement Orientation Checklist) and repainting of repaired areas
• Caulking which was missed during installation
• Installation of any back ordered fixtures or parts
• Installation of any missing hardware such as locks, towel holders, etc.
  

Please read the “Customer Service” chapter of your Homeowner Manual prior to completing your 60 Day List, as some items provide for a “one time repair” and you may want to wait until your One Year List to include such items.
 
Note – A form for your 60 Day List will be mailed to you prior to its deadline date.
 


One Year List
During the tenth month of your one year warranty, you should submit a “One Year List”. We will also be happy to discuss any maintenance questions you may have at this time. We strongly suggest that you let the “Customer Service” chapter of your Homeowner Manual guide you in compiling your list. It is imperative that we receive your list prior to the “one year” mark as most warranties expire at that point. The form for your One Year List will be mailed to you, however, if you have not received this list before the eleventh month after closing, please contact our office immediately.

2-10 Home Buyers Warranty
While CraftMaster Homes strives to build a defect-free home, we are realistic enough to know that we may make mistakes. When we do, we take the necessary actions to either correct or minimize the mistake, which is the primary purpose of the 60 Day List and One Year List. As additional support of this valuable commitment, CraftMaster Homes provides you with a 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Corporation Ten Year Limited Warranty.

You will receive the signed Limited Warranty documents in the mail after closing. An example copy is provided at your Pre-Settlement Orientation Walk-Thru for your review. We suggest that you carefully read through this document as well as the service procedures that are discussed in the “Expectations and Warranty” chapter of your Homeowner Manual.
